Hello my lovelies!

Welcome back to Cappuccinos and Cashmere, your one stop source for fashion, lifestyle, and beauty posts!  It’s another Monday which means I have another California post for you.  We are winding down the last couple looks from California and I am trying to save the best for last.

If you’re a returning reader then you will definitely remember my Eight 4 Nine Layer Cake post, you can read more about that here.  Today I finally wanted to share the outfit that I wore on that day.

I have always been a fan of kimonos (you can also see that in my last post here) and this blouse gave me that kimono vibe that I was looking for.  It is that beautiful silky off-white color with little flowers and branches all over it, such a romantic piece in my collection and I love the little detail of the tie around the waist.  Like many items in my day to day wardrobe, this blouse and the skirt are both from Zara.  I love Zara and have been shopping there for about 10 years.  The prices at Zara are extremely fair and I can never walk out of the store without at least 2 full bags of clothing – Danilo feels the same way about their mens section.  Zara has an enormous selection of both day and night pieces but I have found that most of my purchases are the day to day basics with the occasional specialty piece.

Hopefully you can tell on the pictures, the skirt is a mix of suede and faux leather (in stripes).  It is a perfect year round piece and I will work on styling it for the blog in the winter too just to show off its versatility.

For the heels I went with these lace up Hinge babies that I bought at Nordstrom during the anniversary sale in July along with the fedora.

After getting brunch at Eight 4 Nine, Danilo and I went to Koffi to get our caffeine fix and then spent the day lounging by the pool at The Parker Palm Springs.

This week we busy mentally preparing as next week we have a very important religious holiday and as we all know Thanksgiving is next Thursday!  Danilo will be rolling his eyes as he reads this but our Friday after Thanksgiving tradition is to put up our Christmas decorations, I can hardly wait and he is dreading the experience haha!

What are your plans for the week? What do you think of this outfit? I’d love to know in the comments section below!
