Hello my lovelies,

Welcome back to Cappuccinos and Cashmere, your one stop source for fashion, lifestyle, and beauty posts! This week Danilo and I have family in from Arizona so we’re running around Michigan Avenue with them!

For today’s look I mixed elements from the seventies and present day.  This look was completely inspired by some old photos of my dad that I looked at this weekend.  I had a great time putting this look together all while focusing on this Marc Jacobs jacket.  I got it many years ago as a gift from my mother.  (similar jackets here, here, here, here) Back then I did not like wearing it that much because it was a very unusual piece compared to those worn by my friends. Now, it has become a go to on days that are not unbearably cold and on days that I want to add a pop of color to my attire.

I decided to pair the jacket with this Theory cashmere sweater (these, these, these) and these AG coated jeans (similar here, here, here). I really love the bronze metallic coating and I have worn these jeans for both casual and more festive looks.

For shoes I had to go with these Stuart Weitzman 5050 boots. These were a birthday present from Danilo and I try to make them work with every outfit if possible because I just love them and Danilo, so much.DSC_8351

Another flash from the past is this Chanel bag that I adore (similar here). I thought it went perfectly with this look and tied it all together. It was pure coincidence that it perfectly matched my jacket.  My sunglasses are these Dior cat eye glasses that remind me so much of Audrey Hepburn.

The weather was not very cooperative as I am sure you can tell by my hair but that is what you get in the “Windy City.”   We were as quick as possible and then we ran off to the nearest coffee shop for some cappuccinos to warm up.
