Hi my lovelies!
I cannot believe another week has flown by! Danilo and I have been so busy and we can hardly believe that half of our summer has come and gone in the blink of an eye! We have not had a whole lot of time to enjoy the beautiful weather that we have had lately but we hope to make time for that in the near future! Last week, I went to Arizona very briefly and am preparing a blog post to share my travel story with all of you so stay tuned for that! In the mean time, let’s talk about today’s post…
For as long as I can remember, I have read about and watched celebrities and bloggers take looks from their busy days at the office/meetings, to a night out on the town with the girls or their significant other by simply adding a leather jacket or a few accessories and a lovely pair of heels. However, when have you ever seen someone do the exact opposite? Now don’t get carried away, I am not implying that I went out with the girls or Danilo and now I am wearing the same outfit out and about the next morning. Not at all. I just wanted to take a look that I would more than likely wear at night and make some slight alterations to it so that it is more easy-going and casual.
To do that, instead of pairing this faux leather skirt with a crop top or silky tank, I took an every day shirt to play down the elegance of the skirt. I really enjoy doing this for days that are a bit more casual in nature. Days when I do not have any particular plans but still feel like putting some effort into my look.
If you know me, you probably know that I absolutely adore Zara. It is a Spanish clothing store with several locations in the Chicago area and the stores are all over Europe too. I have been in love with Zara for so many years now. The clothes are very trendy and affordable all while being made with great quality fabrics. If you are looking for more European-like pieces, this is the place to go. (P.S. they currently have a 50% off sale going on right now!)
These Michael Kors mini sandals are everything! (These are on sale, what a great deal and they are stunning, too!) For my bag, I recently got this little baby during the 4th of July sale at the Kate Spade outlet and I had to put it to use immediately. I am all about that funky little piece that ties the whole look together and sets you apart. This was the perfect little addition to the outfit, the cherry on top of the sundae if you will.
I would highly encourage you to try taking a look that you would wear on a night out andtry to dress it down for a day out on the town! Please let me know what you think of the look in the comments section below!
