Hello my lovelies!
Welcome back to Cappuccinos and Cashmere, your one stop source for fashion and lifestyle posts! As you know by now, Mondays I will be posting a new outfit/fashion post and on Thursdays you be getting a lifestyle post! Today I’m sharing talking all about the Fourth of July!
As we all know, the Fourth of July is America’s Independence Day. It is our country’s birthday! This year I am doing a low key day in the city with Danilo and then a cook out with my family. On major holidays I love surrounding myself with family and friends, great food, good music, and a casual outfit. Although I love to dress up, simple is the best.
This look was definitely inspired by the holiday. Although I did not add an element of red, you still get the Fourth of July vibe. (I created a carousel of all of these items at the bottom of this post). My off the shoulder top is from Zara and I am currently in love with gingham prints (here, here, here). Off the shoulder is totally my “thing” during the summer and you will be seeing me in a lot of off the shoulder items.
I am obsessed with these jeans. They have the little fray/fringe element on the bottom which is too cute. If you’re a frequent reader, you know that I do not like all denim brands and there are actually only a select few that I really love and these are definitely one of them. Unfortunately, I do not know the name of the brand and the jeans are currently in my sisters possession. However, I did find several super cute and affordable options here, here, here, and here.
I decided to keep my footwear simple for this shoot and I went with these Steve Madden sneakers. If I had another event to go to I would maybe do a heel. Here are some footwear options I think would look amazing with this outfit (these, these, these)!
My bag and sunglasses are both Chanel. The bag is an oldie but a goodie and the sunnies are at least 3 years old but I still love them dearly. I am horrible about wearing sunnies but at least I have them with me at all times, that counts for something, right?
You know that I rarely mention the makeup that I am wearing but I am still obsessed with my Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lipstick and lipliner. I do not have particularly full or thin lips but one thing that I love about this lipliner is that it closely matches my natural lip color so I slightly over-line my lips and you cannot even tell because the color is that natural and perfect. In my post dedicated to Charolette Tilbury, I talk all about the creamy consistency and non-drying formula. It is the perfect beauty buy.
What are you doing for the holiday? Do you wear the traditional red, white, and blue colors? Although I typically don’t go all out, I love adding a few traditional elements. I’d love it if you’d share your thoughts in the comment section below!
