Hello my lovelies!
Welcome back to Cappuccinos and Cashmere, your one stop source for fashion, lifestyle, and beauty posts! With the changes of the seasons comes the change in the fashion and I couldn’t be more excited. I love putting away all of my lighter layers and bringing forward my cashmere sweaters, my suede skirts, corduroy pants, over the knee boots, etc. I also get excited about wearing this jeweled sweater!
The cooler weather also makes me yearn for days at home curled up in a blanket, watching movies or playing board games with Danilo. I also adore putting up the Christmas decorations all over our home. Nothing makes me happier than the holidays.
When it comes to layering, I could win an Olympic gold medal and if you don’t believe me, ask Danilo. This outfit is a great example of how I tackle the colder months of the year. If it was slightly colder outside on this morning, I would have added a trench coat.
No matter what stage in life you’re in, a classic white shirt is a must in every closet. A white shirt is a staple in my outfits, it can take me from day to night in the snap of a finger, or rather, a few minimal changes to my outfits. It is one of the most practical items that you can own and the options to style it are endless.
On this day, while the leaves were still changing, we headed to the park for the shoot. I wore a really light-weight shirt from Abercrombie and Fitch (that I actually got years ago in college) under this jeweled Banana Republic sweater (unfortunately – this sweater was purchased last year but I found some equally darling ones here, here, here)
For my skirt, I wanted to go with this navy Zara skirt. The material reminds me a little bit of a sweater which I absolutely love because it is so cozy. I have had these Alberto Fermani boots for several years now and they are so comfortable. Here are several boots that I am really loving right now: these, these, these, and these. .
My mother bought this Chanel bag ages ago, I love it. I found some similar navy Chanel bags here, here and here. My love for fashion started at birth and that is all thanks to my parents, especially my mother. I would love going into her closet and trying on all of her dresses, heels, blouses and of course I loved pretending that all of her designer bags were mine!
If you can afford a designer item, make sure that you are buying something that you’ll get your moneys worth. A classic, solid color bag that is not necessarily an in-season/trendy piece will last you a life time and is worth investing in if your budget allows. Below are some bags that I consider a good investment and are all on my Christmas wishlist.
