Hello my lovelies!
Welcome back to Cappuccinos and Cashmere, your one stop source for fashion, lifestyle, and beauty posts!
I hope all of you are having a better week than I am, I am home sick in bed! However, I like to stay positive and even though I am sick, I have a smile on and life is good.
For today’s post, I wanted to share a look that I like to call my everyday uniform. Typically on a “normal” day I can be seen in very simple classic outfits. My wardrobe is a combination of neutral/earthy tones with the occasional pop of color or patterns and this post shows just that.
This was our last morning in Palm Springs and given that we would be spending a few hours in the car in route to La Jolla and San Diego, we wanted to be as comfortable as possible. Before we left Palm Springs, we decided to shoot some outfit photos around the property before getting coffee at Koffi and hitting the road.
As previously mentioned, when traveling I like to be as comfortable as possible whether it is flying or driving, comfort is a must. All summer long you can find me in linen, it is one of my favorite materials as it is stylish and breathable all while being super soft which makes it a perfect material to travel in.
I picked up these adorable linen trousers at Zara a few days before our trip and have already worn them on several occasions since then as they are just that great! I love the little pom pom detailing at the bottom of the pants, it is so subtle but really sold me on buying them. I think the pom poms are a perfect touch for vacation attire, and they can be dressed up just as easily with a pair of heels and a more formal white button down shirt, there you go! Isn’t it fantastic when you buy a piece that you can wear multiple ways?!
I decided to pair the look with this lovely white top from Zara (similar here) that buttons up in the back and ties in the front. The look was completed with this Phase 3 hat (similar here) and these Calvin Klein sandals (old but similar here) that I adore. *There was a mid-shoot shoe swap in which I swapped out the Calvin Klein sandals for these Jeffrey Campbell loafers.
I will share the second part of this post as a lifestyle review of La Jolla next week! Also there are several additional posts that you will be seeing from Palm Springs in the coming weeks so stay tuned, it may be fall but summer is not over yet here at Cappuccinos and Cashmere!
