Hello my lovelies!

Welcome back to Cappuccinos and Cashmere, your one stop source for fashion, lifestyle, and beauty posts!

Happy Monday!  For those of you who are regular readers, you know that I post on Thursdays.  However, now that we are no longer enjoying the summer sunshine, I am posting fall related posts on Thursdays and all of the remaining California posts on Mondays.

For today’s post I wanted to share this look from Beverly Hills.  This was the last leg of our vacation (still more posts to come but this is one of my favorites so I wanted to share it today).  We only spent about a day and a half in LA so we did a lot of exploring in a sort amount of time.

On this day I went with neutral colors.  A plain t-shirt, fringe skirt, heels and a hat.  These shades of brown, tan, nude are the colors most found in my wardrobe and I try to combine them as much as possible.

I paired this Ann Taylor top (similar here) with this Abercrombie and Fitch skirt (similar here), these Hinge heels, and this darling bag (similar here).

We spent the day walking around Melrose, Rodeo Drive, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  Everywhere we have ever traveled to, we like to ask ourselves if we could ever see ourselves living there and although we enjoyed our brief stay in LA, we both agreed that it is not a city that we could live in.  We would definitely go back to visit again in a heartbeat but the hustle and bustle and general over-crowdedness that is LA is not for us.  We are experienced with the traffic and congestion that is a daily struggle in Chicago but it is on a total different level in LA, it took us 25 minutes to go 2.5 miles (crazy!).

After having coffee at Alfred’s Coffee on Melrose Place, we did a little shopping at Serena and Lily, Marc Jacobs and Alice and Olivia before heading to Rodeo Drive to continue our Beverly Hills shopping spree.

We dined at 208 Rodeo, I showed Danilo a few items at LV (wink wink) and then we ended our day at the Chinese Theater where we saw the stars of some of our favorite celebrities.
