Hello my lovelies,
Welcome back to Cappuccinos and Cashmere, your one stop source for fashion, lifestyle, and beauty posts!
As promised, starting today, Thursdays will be dedicated to autumn/season appropriate posts and Mondays will begin offering us nostalgic moments of summer.
For my first autumn post, I wanted to share this fun look with all of you! I believe that I have shared this fact before but I will say it again, as a child, I only was fond of summer and winter seasons. Summer was my favorite because that meant I would be running through my grandfathers vast fields of cherry plums and apple trees, swimming in the Adriatic Sea, or going on various excursions in Amsterdam, London, Paris, or Milan to name a few.
Summer was everything that the school year was not, it was liberating and relaxing, exciting and humbling all at the same time. I guess summer in Europe will do that to a girl. I also was very fond of the winter because it meant the holidays were among us and so was my birthday.
As I grow older I have come to appreciate all of the seasons for what they are. Where once I associated fall with leaving Europe, returning to my studies, and the end of carefree days, I now associate it with Fashion Week, wardrobe changes, over the knee boots, sweaters, and all things pumpkin (typed as I sip on a Starbucks PSL).
We are still having summer-like weather here in the Chicago area but that will eventually end and soon enough I will be bundled up in my favorite sweaters.
Although it is far from high fashion, A&F has some great everyday pieces from time to time that I happily add to my daily outfits. I purchased this sleeveless turtleneck and this denim skirt a few weeks ago for under $50. Lately I am really loving these sleeveless turtlenecks and this one is perfect for these warmer fall days. As it becomes cooler I will surely add a long sleeve shirt underneath, that way I can get use of it throughout the year.
I added a sporty vibe by pairing the outfit with these Adidas Superstar sneakers and a Tory Burch backpack for a walk in the park.
What are you most looking forward to doing during the fall months? Be sure to let me know in the comments below what you think of the outfit! I am looking forward to sharing all of my autumn posts with you during the coming weeks! See you on Monday for more California posts!
