Hello my lovelies!

Welcome back to Cappuccinos and Cashmere, your one stop source for fashion, lifestyle, and beauty posts!

Yet another week has come and gone.  It is so crazy for me to think that the summer is almost done!  If you have been following the blog (I hope you have! If not please subscribe by putting your email in the box on the side or below so you don’t miss a thing to come!) you know that Danilo and I have had quiet the eventful summer filled with incredible weddings, nights in the city of Chicago and lazy days enjoying the weather.  All of this summer fun has not stopped me from watching my waist line though.  This brings me to my topic for today’s post: “Bikini Body.”

This topic is probably as personal as I have gotten thus far as a blogger but I wanted to share my experience with you.  In today’s society, it is so easy to sit and scroll through your Instagram feed or watch your favorite YouTuber and think to yourself, “How are they so thin, what do they eat, where do they workout, why can’t my body look like that?”  Trust me, I am guilty of asking all of those questions (sometimes more than I want to admit).  However, I did not realize how image obsessed we are as a society until I witnessed some very body conscious teenagers who were in a fitting room next to me at a Chicago boutique.  As I tried on a bodysuit for the first time, I overheard one of the teenagers say to her friend, “I am glad that we did not get a fitting room with a mirror, I don’t even want to look at my cellulite in the mirror.”  I was blown away and lost all desire to buy the bodysuit.

Two months ago, I took a look at myself in the mirror and realized that I was not entirely happy with the body I saw.  For the first time in my life I made a conscious effort to change that once and for all.  I immediately got a membership to my gym and signed up for Spin and Pilates classes.  Since that day, I have gone to the gym for these classes 2-3 times a week. Going from not working out regularly, to making this a routine was a bit of a challenge but I would walk out of each class fully energized and feeling good.  From a body-image perspective, I can see minor differences and have noticed that my clothes feel different.  More importantly, I feel good.  It is not always about how you look but rather how you feel.  If you have confidence in yourself, it shows.

Recently, one of my favorite bloggers Zorannah (you can follow her on Instagram here, and her blog here) shared very positive reviews on Hum Nutrition products (also sold at Sephora).  I wanted to give a few ofthe products a try.  After reading about all of the different products, I decided to go with Flatter Me and Daily Cleanse.  Each container has 60 capsules in it which is a 30 day supply.  Each day, I take a Daily Cleanse capsule in the morning and one at night.  I take a Flatter Me capsule before my two main meals each day.  HUM NUTRITION

I have tried so many detox products in the past that primarily consisted of tea detox products so when I ordered the Hum Nutrition capsules, I was a little skeptical because all of the previous detoxes that I consumed, resulted in me feeling extremely sick.  Thankfully, I was beyond impressed with Hum Nutrition and their products.  Not only do I feel lighter and cleansed from the inside out, I have noticed that my stomach genuinely is flatter.  I was also impressed by the fact that my appetite significantly decreased after consuming the capsules.

My personal journey to being happy with my reflection in the mirror is an everlasting one.  However, in combination with my fitness classes and Hum Nutrition, I am getting to where I want to be.  I would highly recommend visiting Hum’s site and taking their quiz to see which products are right for you.  If you are a Beauty Insider at Sephora, you could also order the products there.

Have you tried Hum Nutrition? Do you have any beauty secrets that you love?
